Back-2-School Event
In July 2024, the Angels Baseball Foundation hosted a
Back-2-School Event at Angel Stadium. Over 800 children
attended the event in which each student received Angels
t-shirts, hoodies, new shoes and school supplies. Everyone
in attendance had the opportunity to walk on the field
and visit the dugout, while also receiving necessary items
for the upcoming school year. In addition, each family left
with a bag of fresh groceries and produce, courtesy of
Second Harvest Food Bank.

Science of Baseball Showcase, presented by Toyota
In the Fall of 2024, the Angels and Science
of Sport hosted 250 local 4th grade students
at Angel Stadium for the Science of Baseball
Showcase. Students had the opportunity to
learn and participate in different STEM-themed
baseball activities throughout the day. Students
and teachers also received workbooks and training
from the team to continue their lessons in the
classroom and at home.
Making Wishes Come True
The Angels have joined forces with Make-A-
Wish Foundation and other wish organizations
to help grant the wishes of children with life-
threatening medical conditions. Throughout
the season, the Angels are pleased to have
Wish Kids and their families as guests to enjoy
an experience that uses baseball to provide
encouragement and joy amidst a difficult
journey.
Going to Bat Against Breast Cancer
The Angels annually join Major League Baseball
and Susan G. Komen for the Cure on Mother’s
Day to raise awareness and funding for the
fight against breast cancer. Players, coaches
and umpires throughout the league support
the cause by wearing pink wristbands and
pink ribbons on their uniforms. Many players
also choose to play with special pink bats on
Mother’s Day and the Angels celebrate a breast
cancer survivor on the field during the pregame
ceremony.
Father’s Day Home Run Challenge
The Angels and Major League Baseball are committed to the fight against prostate cancer.
2025 will mark the 26th year of the Home Run Challenge to raise money for the cure of prostate
cancer and will take place near Father’s Day weekend with events scheduled at stadiums across
the nation.
