alongside hitting coach Johnny Washington...Spent previous two seasons (2022-23) as a roving
hitting coordinator for the Dodgers...From 2019-21, served as Mariners hitting coach...In 2020,
saw Kyle Lewis capture the A.L. Rookie of the Year after batting .262 with three doubles, 11 home
runs and 28 RBI in 58 games...In first season with Seattle, Mariners hitters connected for 63 more
home runs and scored 81 more runs over previous season (176 HR, 677 R in 2018 to 239 HR, 758

campaign as the manager of Single-A Mahoning Valley and the 2008-09 seasons as the Indians

◆ Appeared in parts of 11 Major League seasons as a catcher for Montreal (1992-95), Baltimore
(1997), Tampa Bay (1998, 2005), Pittsburgh (1998-99) and Cleveland (2001-04, 2006)...Hit .226
(147/651) with 11 home runs and 79 RBI in 281 games.
◆ Attended Simi Valley HS (Simi Valley, CA) and played collegiately at Oxnard Community College
(Oxnard, CA)...Originally was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 49th round of the 1987 draft
but did not sign...Drafted in the 6th round of the 1988 draft by Montreal.
