        games, batting .214 (27/126) with five doubles, two triples, two home runs, eight RBI and 23 runs
        scored...Appeared in two playoff games for Oakland during the 2000 ALDS, going 1-for-1....Originally
        drafted by the Cubs in the 1993 draft.
      ◆   Attended the University of Iowa...Played baseball and football...Earned All-Big 10 honors in both
        sports and MVP honors during senior season on the football team...Prepped at Weequahic HS (NJ).
      ◆   In  2012,  he  and  wife,  Stacey  established  the  S.E.L.F.  Foundation,  which  provides  and  supports
        programs that are dedicated to improving and impacting lives of underprivileged and underserved
        youth and communities through sports, education, life skills and faith...On February 2, 2017, the City
        of Houston recognized the Stacey and Bo Porter S.E.L.F. Foundation by proclaiming that day Stacey
        and Bo Porter S.E.L.F. Foundation Day...On December 13, 2012, was honored in his home state...
        Date was proclaimed “Essex County Bo Porter Day,” during which he was presented with the Key
        to Essex County...On May 5, 2016, City of Newark renamed Green Acres/St. Peter’s Park to Marquis
